White Rock Ministries

So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers. They said, “We apostles should spend our time teaching the word of God, not running a food program. And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will give them this responsibility. Then we apostles can spend our time in prayer and teaching the word.” (Acts 6:2–4 NLT)

Pastors have many responsibilities and none should be neglected. The ministries in the Pastoral Helpers cluster come alongside the Pastor and give assistance as needed, to support the Pastor, members, and the goal of the church.

The Music Ministry offers unto the Lord a ministry of praise and worship and ministers God’s holy Word through music. The Ministry is comprised of several different choirs. We welcome participation by White Rock members of all ages.

White Rock is a “friendly” church! The Hospitality Cluster reflects the “hospitality” of the Church through its service to visiting guests, members of the church family, and clergy during all worship services, occasions, special events, and all other fellowship services of the church. We express God’s love, grace and compassion through positive, friendly, kind, courteous and helpful behavior to all who enter the Church at all times.

Our Discipleship Development Ministry Cluster is designed to teach and lead men and women, teens, and boys and girls to form lasting faith in Jesus Christ.  Ministries in this Cluster serve to help members of all ages to understand and reaffirm their conversion experience and commitment to Christ and the Church.  The ministries in this Cluster help participants to understand and accept the responsibilities of Christian faith formation and expectations (Bible Study, Prayer, Tithing, Charitable Giving, Service, and Worship).  We believe that childhood and teen years are primary seasons for faith formation. That is why our Teen Sunday School Class, Teen Bible Study, and our Sunday School class for children 5-12, Sunday Morning Live, are just as important as a parent’s time in the sanctuary. In addition, our intergenerational activities are vital offerings and serve to build resilient relationships in the lives of parents, young people, and seniors.  Three primary discipleship factors are at the heart of our sharing and shaping Christian faith among our church family and community:  Belong, Believe, Become.

• Belong—build relationships, community, and Kingdom
• Believe—scripture engagement that leads to trusting faith in Jesus Christ
• Become—experiences to become like Christ and walk in His ways

The Stewardship Ministry Cluster is established to serve and support the Pastor, ministries, and the goals of the church.  This cluster is responsible for managing the financial, physical, and material affairs of the church.

The Media Support Ministry Cluster, comprised of the Communication and Information Ministry (CIM), Audio-Visual Booth (A-V Booth) Ministry, and Media Production Ministry (MPM), supports Pastor, Ministerial Staff, and ministries of the church through virtual meetings and worship services, social media engagement, online giving, and other special projects. In short, MSC ministries are responsible for all media and promotion, including livestreaming, pre-recordings, print, web, video, CDs, DVDs, newsletter, photography, Zoom, etc. MSMC ministries also handle most of the technologies of the church (e.g., copiers, printers, Information Technology).
