“Nothing But Love in God’s Water” is a documentary film about White Rock Baptist Church. The documentary was used to launch the book, “Upon This Rock.” In this film, the Bull City Doc Squad explores Durham, North Carolina’s African American heritage through the past and present of the city’s legendary White Rock Baptist Church. White Rock has been (and still is) home to many of Durham’s African American community and business leaders. It has been a foundation for Durham’s black community since it was established in 1866. The film was selected as one of the films shown at the Longleaf Film Festival at the North Carolina Museum of History in 2019. Click here to view the documentary.
