White Rock Baptist Church’s members experienced history in harmony on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when the legendary Fisk Jubilee Singers graced their sanctuary, marking the vibrant launch of our 160 th Year Anniversary Celebration. Renowned as premier carriers of Negro spirituals, this extraordinary ensemble has captivated audiences for generations. Their legacy was further solidified when they were inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, a testament to their profound impact on music and culture.

In 2008, the group was honored with the National Medal of Arts, presented by President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, recognizing their artistic excellence. Their accolades continued to soar in 2021 with their first Grammy Award at the 63 rd Annual Grammy Awards.
