Urban Shelter Outreach Ministry

White Rock Baptist Church delivers and serves an evening meal in the Community Cafe at the Urban Ministries of Durham on the 4th Monday of each month through this outreach ministry. This Ministry does the work commanded by Jesus to feed the hungry and less fortunate (Matthew 15:16-21).  We also share the gospel and witness to the people we serve with prayer, literature, and information about White Rock Baptist Church.

Volunteers are always welcome to participate. We gather at 5:30 pm to begin preparations to serve. We serve meals from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. NOTE: We are not currently serving meals at the shelter. Due to COVID-19, we have modified our service to provide dinners in take-out boxes.
