Health Ministry

The mission of the White Rock Baptist Church Health Ministry is to educate the church and community so that they can make better choices that will positively affect their health and the health of their loved ones.

HEALTH TIPS: To keep you informed about important health topics, the WRBC Health Ministry sponsors periodic health information sessions via Zoom. A professional presents health tips on important topics. Notices go out from the Church Office and Zoom links provided for church members and others in the community to participate. Below is a list of some of our sponsored programs:

EXERCISE CLASSES

On line Tai Chi classes are provided weekly for balance, strength     and healthy aging.  Contact the church office to receive a link to participate. 

BLOOD PRESSURE: Do you know your numbers? We mean your blood pressure numbers? Are they too high? We encourage everyone to have your blood pressure checked on a regular basis.

AFRICAN-AMERICAN DEMENTIA CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP

Sponsored by White Rock Baptist Church, in partnership with the Duke Dementia Family Support Program, the African-American Dementia Caregiver Support Group aims to create a space where African-American caregivers in similar situations can come together and offer support and tips to each other.

The group meets every 3rd Tuesday at 7pm each month (except for July) via zoom.  Please contact Tiffany Summers at (919) 660-7508 or email her at tiffany.summers@duke.edu for more information and to be added to email list and receive the zoom meeting link.  You may also contact Helen Featherson, coordinator of outreach ministries at White Rock Baptist Church.
