Home 9 Angel Tree Ministry

It’s time to “Share Your Christmas!” Christmas is just around the corner, which means that it’s time to purchase gifts for our Angel Tree. Share your Christmas with someone in need. The Angel Ministry reaches out to children and families with the love of Christ. We work with the Department of Social Services (DSS) and the Volunteer Center of Durham to obtain the names and wish lists for our Angel Tree. All families referred to the program are DSS clients who are elderly, disabled, unemployed, low income and families with children in the home.

This year we will have 80 individuals from approximately 25 families. Please go to the Fellowship Hall any Sunday after worship service beginning on November 22 to select a family or an individual from the Christmas tree. Feel free to partner with others to purchase the more expensive items requested. Then shop for the item(s) listed on that family’s/individual’s wish list.

Please purchase gifts and return them wrapped or unwrapped on or before Wednesday, December 9th. Our final gift collection will be after Bible Study on December 9. If you prefer, you can make a monetary donation and we will purchase gifts for you. Along with the gifts, we ask volunteers to pray for the children and families.
